The journey in university.
Have been wanting to create a blog somewhere to document my thoughts. But have been putting it off because of time and laziness.
In 2018 now, in my final year studies in NTU. Looking back, I don't know how i survived this. I've always been feeling that I got in NTU by sheer luck. My poly GPA definitely didn't make the cut, but went for special admissions interview and got the offer. Just so thankful when the offer letter from NTU arrived just as i thought i wouldn't be able to enter a local university.
4 years in NTU flew by. Joining camps and school activities made university life much more vibrant. But you could see your "usefulness" in other people's eyes. E.g. when you have good grades, people come to you claiming to be asking for "advice". But how much truth is in it? I don't know, really. I started off with a GPA of 3.38 (3rd class honours), and till today I'm at a CGPA of 4.34 (2nd upper). I have surpassed my fellow batchmates who started off with much higher GPA than I had. I read NTU Confessions (when i'm bored) and people say its impossible to go from a 3rd class honours to a 2nd upper and warn others to stop dreaming. I strongly disagree - I've shown that it's possible. You just have to put in effort, and plan your modules carefully. I'm not sure what thoughts those people were harbouring when they replied to the confession. But all of them just seem so superficial and brainless.
Ugh.
